MORE JAPANESE LANDED IN PHILIPPINES
(Rec. 9 p.m.) WASHINGTON, Mar. 3. A communique states that the enemy is landing troops at Zamboanga, in the island of Mindanao (one of the Philippines) from a convoy of four transports and one cruiser. Zamboanga is in flames. Japanese naval units, including a cruiser, and destroyers are shelling several points in different islands of the Philippines.
