The response was gratifying, and a skein of the wool has been obtained for the reader who sent the inquiry. A quiet wedding took place on Tuesday evening, February 24, at First Church, Dunedin, between Charles Dines, son of Mr R. D. Halstead, of Roslyn, Dunedin, and Joyce May, daughter of Mr and Mrs George Patrick, of Otara, Southland. The Rev. W. Allen Stevely officiated. A list comprising names of householders who are willing to offer hospitality for meals and week-end leave to soldiers from local camps is being compiled, and those who wish to have their names included in this list should telephone or call at the Southland Women’s Club, Tay street.
