CONTRACT LET TO RAISE NORMANDIE
(Rec. 10 p.m.) NEW YORK, March 2. It is reported that a 5,000,000-dollar contract, to raise the capsized Normandie has been awarded to a local marine salvage company. It was previously declared by the naval authorities that the vessel could not be salvaged. Meanwhile the Naval Committee of the House of Representatives started to probe the disaster here today by inspecting the liner from the pier.
