LATE MEETING OF CITY COUNCIL

LONG DISCUSSION IN COMMITTEE The meeting of the City Council last night was unusually protracted. A discussion in committee which lasted for more than three hours was unfinished when the council adjourned at 12.15 o’clock this morning and no statement about the business in committee was released. Immediately after the meeting ended a requisition signed by six councillors was handed to the town clerk (Mr W. F. Sturman) requesting him to summon a special meeting of the council next Tuesday night.
