NAVAL TRAINING STATION IN OTAGO

(Special) DUNEDIN, March 3. Preparatory to the tstablishement of a naval training station in Otago, alterations have been made to a building extensively used before the outbreak of the war for the instruction of naval reservists. The buildihg, which is an excellen tone for the purpose of training and was built with this object in view, has been comparatively idle for months as almost all the naval reservists have been drafted to active service duties. Alterations have been designed to provide facilities for the personnel to live on the station. They include a mess room, galley and store rooms, all comfortably laid out. The mess room has accommodation for about 60 ratings.
