LONDON, February 19. The German publication Suedost Echo, mouthpiece of the Wilhelmstrasse, reflects increasing German pressure against Turkey when it says: “Turkey either must join Germany or take the consequences.” Mr Anthony Eden, the Foreign Secretary, in a speech at Turkish People’s House referred to the close and increasing friendship between Turkey and Britain. He said: "Our cause is the cause of Turkey. We know that the Turks, if they are attacked, will defend themselves with a resolution worthy of their history.”
