BRIDGE COMPLETED NEAR WYNDHAM

An announcement that the new road traffic bridge across the Mataura river near Wyndham had been completed and would me ready for use in a week or a fortnight when the approaches were constructed was made at the meeting of the Southland County Council yesterday by the engineer (Mr G. R. Milward). He stated that the bridge, which was over 500 feet long, had cost about £16,000. It was decided to invite the Minister of Public Works (the Hon. H. T. Armstrong) to visit Southland to open the bridge.
