NAPIER HAS MOST SUNSHINE

(P.A.) WELLINGTON, January 27. Napier heads the list of hours of bright sunshine recorded this year according to a return compiled by the Meteorological Office. The first eight centres in the list of 37 are: Napier, 2492.0; Blenheim, 2477.8; Nelson, 2390.8; Gisborne, 2297.2; Lake Tekapo, 2282.2; Auckland, 2267.9; Tauranga, 2258.0; Masterton, 2220.2; New Plymouth, 2201.3. Of the other larger centres Timaru is twelfth on the list with 2143.7, Wanganui 13th with 2125.6, Rotorua 17th with 2028.3, Christchurch 18th with 2026.2, Wellington 29th with 1900.5, Palmerston North 33rd with 1689.8, Invercargill 35th with 1664.3 and Dunedin 37th with 1648.4.
