(Rec. 10.30 p.m.) CHUNGKING, Jan. 27 Chinese fighting against the Japanese all along the Canton-Kowloon railway captured Tamshui and inflicted 400 casualties. In Honan Province the Chinese destroyed an important Japanese military highway near Sinyang and killed 200 and also repulsed Japanese attempts to capture positions near Chungmow.
