SAN FRANCISCO WARNED
(Rec. 10.30 p.m.) SAN FRANCISCO, January 26. Admiral Greenslade, commandant of the Twelfth Naval District, declared that a Japanese submarine raid on San Francisco was “very probable.” | He added that such a raid, in which submarines might come to the surface and shell the city, would have a nuisance value for the effect on civilian morale, and would provide material for Japanese propaganda.
