Gradually Improving
(Special) WELLINGTON, Dec. 26. Following is the special weather forecast for Southland issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington:— Fresh to strong south-westerly winds; the weather cold and changeable with occasional passing showers chiefly on. the coast, but conditions gradually improving.
The weather in Invercargill yesterday was cold and overcast and showers of rain fell during the day. This morning at 1 o’clock the weather was mild and clear. There was no wind. The barometer reading was 29.62 in. (rising).
