BRITISH AMBASSADOR MEETS SUNER

LONDON, December 18.

General Franco on Wednesday conferred with Senor Ramon Serrano Suner, Spanish Foreign Minister, after which Senor Suner talked at length with Sir Samuel Hoare. British Ambassador to Spain. General Franco late at night conferred with members of the Supreme War Council. The Mexico City correspondent of the United Press of America says that thousands of Spanish nationals are reported to be withdrawing their funds from American banks. The withdrawals are prompted by the fear that Spain may soon become a belligerent and the possibility that Mexico may freeze Spanish assets.
