HONOUR FOR COLAC BAY

SOLDIER AWARDED THE MILITARY MEDAL

Advice has been received that Gunner R. Wixon, of Colac Bay, has been awarded the Military Medal. Gunner Wixon is the son of Mr J. Wixon, Waitane, and a nephew of Mrs Te Au, sen., of Colac Bay. Colac Bay has been brought into the limelight by soldiers from that district, as this is the third Colac Bay man to receive a decoration. One of the others is Sergeant J. D. Hinton, V.C.
