GENERAL NOTES— The weather during the past two days has been extremely unseasonable. Heavy rain and hail showers have swept across the town by a strong south-westerly almost without cessation. Little work has been possible on the waterfront. On Thursday Bluff was without electric power for some time in the

morning, the trouble being located at Awarua.

OTHER PORTS (P.A.) WELLINGTON, December 19. Arrived.—Waiplata (9.40 a.m.) from Lyttelton. To Sail.—Holmglen (11 p.m.) for New Plymouth.
