SUDDEN DEATH AT MATAURA

WELL-KNOWN GORE

BUILDER

A well-known Gore builder, Mr David Stewart, died suddenly at Mataura yesterday morning. Mr Stewart had been engaged in building operations at a house at Mataura, and at 9.30 a.m. yesterday he had a seizure from which he did not recover. At the time of his death Mr Stewart was working with three other men. Dr I. Woodhouse was immediately called, but Mr Stewart was beyond medical aid. Mr Stewart had been attended for some time by Dr J. E. Rogers, of Gore, and it is understood that an inquest will not be necessary.
