Commander T. G. B. Winch has been killed in action, according to private advice received in Wellington. He served as a lieutenant on the New Zealand Station, under the commands of Commodore Geoffrey Blake and Commodore Burges-Watson. He has left a widow, the daughter of Admiral Sells, and two young children.
