Restriction of Profits
The opinion that profits of freezing companies should be limited to 6 per cent, for the duration of the war was expressed at a recent meeting of the Dominion executive of the Farmers’ Union. It was held that all profits beyond this figure should be returned to the producers without being taxed, except through individual farmers’ income tax returns.
