Application has been made to the appropriate authority for permission to operate between Bluff and Stewart Island. Nightcaps district, where they attended ; parades at Ohai, Birchwood, Opio and Wairio. Attendances were good, and the instruction given was appreciated by those present. The third instructor, Sergeant-Major F. Rogers, visited units in the Hedgehope district, where the results were equally satisfactory. LOCAL BODIES MAY ASSIST (P. A.) WELLINGTON, November 20.
