11 MEN FOR COASTAL DEFENCE TRAINING
DEPARTURE THIS MORNING FOR BURNHAM Eleven men will leave this morning for Burnham Camp. There they will undergo a month’s training, after which they will be posted to the 11th Heavy Regiment, N.Z.A., for coastal defence work for the duration of the war. They are J. Boyd, W. J. Sands, W. R. Dunlop, F. J. C. Marlow, C. J. L. Knipe (Invercargill), A. Low (Ocean Beach), J. McGimpsey (Owaka), A. T. Anderson and C. T. Meehan (Wrights Bush), J. F. Owens (Kaitangata), H. W. Perriam (Gibbston, Arrowtown), J. S. Richards (Raurekau, Milton), A. R. P. Symons (Winton), A. R. Turner (Millers Flat, R.D.), D. Ward (Mill Road)); T. R. Ward (Balclutha); D. Young (Moa Flat).
