CARNIVAL AT ORETI BEACH
Another beach carnival is to be held on January 24 and 25 by the Oreti Surf Club and the Oreti Beach Association to raise funds for the Territorial Association. The carnival will include an interhouse march past and it is hoped to have entries from Dunedin, Gore and the surrounding districts. There will also be a beauty parade, sports, a greasy pig competition, wrestling and other novelties which will appeal to the public. On the Sunday there will be a military display, a march past, pony cavalcade, a surf display and a motor rally. Mr O. G. Davis is organizer for the carnival.
