The Winning Trainers
The North Island trainer T. R. George, who took a team of 13 horses to the New Zealand Cup meeting, was the most successful trainer at the meeting, winning five races. Mr J. A. Brown, P. Burgess, and F. A. Roberts each turned out three, O. Cox, C. G. Humphries, C. C. McCarthy, and J, C. Tomkinson—each two, and Mr J. H. Prosser, B. H. Morris, J. H. Jefford, N. J. Dwyer, H. Telford, H. and A. Cutts, . Mrs J. Campbell, H. Nurse, B. Burgess, j and H. R. Davies one winner each.
