FRESH NAZI ATTACK ON MOSCOW
GERMANS BRING UP NEW S.S. DIVISION
(United Press "Association —Telegraph Copyright) (Rec. 12.20 a.m.) LONDON, November 13.
A fresh German assault against Moscow is developing from the north-west, where the Germans have brought up a fresh S.S. (storm troop) division. There is intense fighting near Kerch, in the Crimea, but Russian troops, acting in concert with the Red Air Force and the Navy, have repelled all German attacks. The Germans have also failed to break through the Russian defences near Sebastopol. Heavy engagements are also reported near Tula, but elsewhere on the Central Front the Germans are trying to dig in. The Soviet spokesman, M. Solomon Lozovsky, in Kuibyshev, said the German losses on the Central Front had been so great that the Germans might not risk another assault this winter. The Germans had been ordered to take Tula at all costs, but so far the tank traps and other obstacles erected by the workers had held.
