Nelson beat Miss McSoriley and Farrant, 21-8 21-16. BOWLING CLUB OPENING The Bowling Club was officially opened in fine but rather cold weather. There was a fairly good attendance, including visitors from Arrowtown. Mr L. Hanrahan, president, welcomed the visitors and congratulated the greenkeepers on the excellent condition of the greens. Mrs Hanrahan sent up the first bowl after which friendly matches were played. TENNIS CLUB OPENING There was only a small number of players and friends present at the official opening of the tennis season. Mr C. M. Inglis, president, declared the courts open after which friendly games were played for the rest of the afternoon.
