MEETING OF SOUTHLAND BRANCH The annual meeting of the Southland branch of the New Zealand Institute of Valuers held last week was devoted to the election of officers and an address by Mr W. F. Dick on linen flax production. The principal officers for the ensuing year are Mr Dugald Macpherson (chairman) and Mr J. J. Keppel (councillox - and branch representative on the general council). The chairman’s report fox - the past year emphasized the great benefits derived by the members through theixdiscussions, and the interesting addresses and papers read at the regularmonthly meetings. Of special interest to the business community was the scale of valuation fees adopted throughout New Zealand, together with othexinformation published in a brochure covering the names of practising valuers throughout New Zealand who are accredited members of the institute. Recently admitted members are Mx - Milton Green, of Gore, Messrs Hugh Crawford, A. Ross, N. R. Brown, H. D. Irving and Fitzharris, all of Invercargill.
