ENJOYABLE SOCIAL EVENING

ST. ANDREW’S SCOTTISH SOCIETY An enjoyable social evening was held by the St. Andrew’s Scottish Society of Southland in the Tudor Lounge last evening. The chief, Mr J. L. McG. Watson, presided. An interesting address on some of his experiences in Canada was given by the Rev. Hugh Graham. Following was the programme:— Vocal duet, Messrs K. G. Roy and G. Patterson; songs, Miss Grace Hunter, Miss Mabel Clark, Mr R. Liddell and Mr Walter Watson; pipe solo, Mr Gordon Elder; Highland fling, Miss Margaret Matheson; Seann Triubhais, Miss Joan Shand. The accompanist was Mrs A. F. Manning.
