APPEALS AGAINST SERVICE

Sir,—Evidently “Ex-Digger” doesn’t like a taste of his own back. All he has proved in his reply is that he is a twister. He charges me with insulting soldiers. I fail to see why he should speak of my statements about boys who are appealed for as insults. “Ex-Digger” states that his father with the help of a boy milked 50 cows and ran 250 sheep during the last war. If he would go before the Appeal Board he would find that he would have to do much better than that to get one son exempt. He also states that he knows of farmers who have appealed for two and three sons. To save argument I’ll believe him, but I know that only one in a thousand people would believe him. DOPE.
