PROTEST AGAINST SOCIAL SECURITY BILL

(P.A.) AUCKLAND, September 19. Several representative groups of citizens who had been considering the holding of protest meetings.against the Social Security Amendment Bill met today and decided to hold one large meeting in the Town Hall on September 24. Those present were unanimous that public indignation against the coercion of the doctors had grown enormously recently, and that a citizens’ protest meeting was called for. The principal speaker at the meeting will be Sir James Elliott, of Wellington, whose address at the protest meeting in the Wellington Town Hall on Wednesday night has attracted widespread attention. '
