SOUTHLAND SUCCESSES AT COMPETITIONS
In the demi-character or character dance at the Dunedin competitions this week, Miss Maureen Ham, of Invercargill, was placed second with 90 points. The winner was Miss Patsy Ward with 92 points. Misses N. McKennell, of Gore, and Betty Briggs were highly commended in the children’s duet (own selection) under 13 years. Mr R. Allen (Gore) was very highly commended for a lieder solo in the vocal section.
