WOMEN MUST REMAIN AT WAR WORK
(Rec. 8.30 p.m.) LONDON, August 25. The Minister of Labour, Mr Ernest Bevin, in a speech said action was being taken against women who had given up war work without permission. Women were unable to leave firms engaged in essential work without permission, which was not given except for special reasons.
