MR FRASER’S NARROW ESCAPE
(Rec. 11 p.m.) LONDON, August 22. The last moment decision of the New Zealand Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. P. Fraser, to postpone his departure till the return of Mr Churchill and the arrival of the Canadian Prime Minister, Mr W L. Mackenzie King, saved his life. He had booked for America aboard the ferry plane which crashed on August 15, killing Mr Arthur Purvis, head of the British Purchasing Mission in America, and others.
