N.Z. PILOT DECORATED (8.0.W.) RUGBY, July 27. The citation in connection with the award of the D.F.C. to Acting-Squad-ron-Leader I. G. Richmond of the Royal Air Force, whose home is at Nelson, New Zealand, states: Acting SquadronLeader Richmond for the past year has commanded a flight with conspicuous keenness and leadership. During the night of May 7 he dived through a heavy and accurate barrage and directly hit the battleship Gneisenau at Brest. He has always provided an example of efficiency, courage and devotion to duty.
