WOMEN TAKE PLACE OF MEN AT POST OFFICE

Because a number of men are being released from their postal duties for national service, women will take over some of the duties at the Chief Post Office at Invercargill in the near future. One woman is now being trained in the work at the telegraph counter and one or two others will take up duty shortly at the postal counter, where stamps are sold.
