LONG BUSH

The residents of the district met in the Longbush School for a gift evening to Mr and Mrs Frank Crawford, jun., on the occasion of their marriage. Euchre was played during the first part of the evening, the prize-winners being Mrs A. Sellars and Mr A. Stimpson. Consolation prizes were awarded to Miss L. Evans and Mr J. Birss. The chairman (Mr Seymour Evans) invited the guests of honour to come forward and after Mrs A. W. Moore and Mr K. Kennard had extended a welcome to the district to Mrs Crawford and offered congratulations, Mr A. Stimpson asked the young couple to accept the many gifts. Mr Crawford replied. Music for the dance was supplied by Mr G. Lewis, extras being played by Mr N. Lewis and Mr L. Middlemiss. A novelty dance was won by Miss P. Lewis and Mr R. Latta. Mrs A. W. Moore had the lucky cup. Mr F. Crengle was master of ceremonies.
