MAINTENANCE CHARGE TO BE ABOLISHED

(P.A.) AUCKLAND, July 10. An announcement that provision was being made in the Budget for the abolition of the charge of £3O required to be found annually by school committees as part of the contribution to school dental clinic maintenance was made by the acting Prime Minister (the Hon. W. Nash) at Birkenhead. “That is one of the minor secrets of the Budget,” said Mr Nash in making the announcement.
