MINING SHARES ACTIVE Quotations On Stock Exchange There was no change in the market for bank shares on the Invercargill Stock Exchange yesterday. A sale of 4 per cent. Stock 1943-46 reported yesterday was at £lO2/10/-, not £lO2 2/6. GREY RIVER RETURN (P.A.) WELLINGTON, July 10. The Grey River dredging return for the week ended July 9 was 173?0z for 118 hours and 88,889 cubic yards. SALE OF DAIRY HERD Henderson and Co., Ltd., in conjunction with the Southland Farmers’ Co-operative Association Ltd. report having held a successful dispersal sale of Mr W. A. Wylie’s dairy herd. There was a large attendance of buyers and the whole herd, which came forward in splendid condition, was sold under keen competition, and averaged the very satisfactory figure of £l3/10/- for the cows. The heifers averaged £lO/10/-. The few implements, lorry and milking plant were sold at full market rates.
