COMMUNITY SING AND CONCERT

There was a good attendance at the patriotic community sing which was held in the Civic Theatre last night. A varied programme of musical, dancing and variety items was presented. After the Civic Band had opened the first part of the entertainment, dancing items were given by pupils of Miss Madge Flaus. Other items given were the following: Accordion solos, Mrs Craigie; cornet solo, Miss N. Fox; ventriloquism, Mr J. Gilchrist and his doll “Jerry”; songs, Mr L. Bryce. The conductor of the community sing was Mr Charles Trim. Mr Norman Armstrong was the accompanist.
