COMMUNITY SING

An enjoyable community sing in aid of the Home Guard funds was conducted in the Civic Theatre last evening. Mr Charles Trim was the song leader, Mr Norman Armstrong was at the piano and Mr Alex Sutherland was stage manager. The following gave items during the

evening:—Battalion Band, Southland Boys’ High School sextet, Marist boys’ choir, Southland Girls’ High School choir, Miss Rene Ward’s pupils, Mr Roy Wesney (xylophone solos), and Elaine Cull (songs).
