INVERCARGILL FIRE BOARD
Sixteen calls have been attended by the Invercargill Fire Brigade during the month, according to the report of the superintendent of the Invercargill Fire Brigade, Mr F. S. Simpson, which was presented at the monthly meeting of the Invercargill Fire Board yesterday. The calls included three dwellings, five chimney fires, two rubbish fires and one justifiable false alarm. Mr R. R. Binney suggested that the fire alarm system be extended to the new portions of the city. It was de- • ,ded that the superintendent be asked to report on the number of alarm boxes required.
