CALEDONIAN PIPE BAND SOCIETY
At the annual meeting last night of the Invercargill Caledonian Pipe Band Society the election of officers resulted: Patron, Sir Robert Anderson; chieftain, Mr J. L. MeG. Watson; president, Mr T. M. Rankin; vice-presidents, Messrs J. McG. Forrester and H. Elder; citizens’ committee, Messrs J. Watt, G. Blackley, W. G. Kirkness, J. E. Thomson, R. Hamilton, R. McKenzie, H. Diack, E. Crisp, J. Ewen, F. Logan, A.. McSporran and J. Heenan; drum-major, Mr C. Henderson; deputy-drum-major, Mr E. Clark; pipe-major, Mr R. C. Sutherland; pipe-sergeant, Mr R. Sutherland; senior corporal, Mr C. Sutherland; junior corporal, Mr M. Torbit; drumsergeant, Mr E. Clark; drum-corporal, Mr H. Pay; secretary, Mr C. Henderson; treasurer, Mr H. Pay; custodian, Mr D. Hoffman; auditor, Mr J. S. Brass; drill instructor, Mr F. Logan. The year ended with a credit balance of £36/14/2, according to the financial statement. The receipts for the year totalled £132/17/5 and the expenditure £96/3/3.
