DIPPING OF HEADLIGHTS
(P.A.) WELLINGTON, May 28. An appeal to motorists to dip their headlights at all times when in city streets was made by the acting Minister of Transport, the Hon. D. Wilson, today. He stated that under the present street lighting restrictions the action of motor drivers in failing to dip their headlights seriously, affected the range of vision of tramway motormen. He added that regulations were under consideration for the purpose of dealing with the whole question of lights on motor-vehicles in the areas of restricted lighting, but pending the issue of these regulations it was hoped all motorists would meet his request in the interests of public safety.
