APPLE LOAF CAKE To J level cup butter or good margarine, creamed, add 1 level cup castor sugar and beat until light and fluffy. Add the yolks of 2 well-beaten eggs and a few drops lemon essence. Sift 1 level cup flour with i level cup cornflour, 3 level teaspoons baking powder, and a pinch salt. Put 2 tablespoons all bran through a mincer with 2 tablespoons walnuts. Add 2 tablespoons grated apple to butter mixture, then add all bran and walnuts. Now add dry ingredients alternately with | cup top milk. Lastly fold in the whites of the 2 eggs and bake in a well-greased and lightly-floured loaf pan for about 45 minutes.
