HANOVER RAIDED BY R.A.F.
(Rec. 2 a.m.) LONDON, May 16. Hanover was the main target of the Royal Air Force in Germany last night. Large fires were started in the industrial quarter. Some of our heaviest bombers raided Berlin. Hamburg, Cuxhaven, Calais, Boulogne and Dieppe were also raided. Four British bombers are missing. Air activity over Britain was negligible.
