FRENCH SYMPATHIES
(Rec. 9.30 p.m.) NEW YORK, April 29. “Ninety-five per cent, of the population of Unoccupied France would rise up to fight the Germans if the British landed an armed force on the Mediterranean coast,” M. Akuon de Gaillow, a French inventor, said on his arrival from France. He added that about 60 per cent, of the people of Occupied France favour General Charles de Gaulle and are working underground for him.
