BOYS’ BAND VISITS DUNEDIN

RECITAL TO RAISE FUNDS FOR LADIES’ BAND

The Invercargill Boys’ Battalion Band, which, left by Saturday afternoon’s express for Dunedin, returned to the' city by the express last evening. The band, which was under the leadership of Lieutenant A. McMaster, went tc Dunedin to help to raise funds to equip the newly-formed Dunedin Ladies’ Brass Band. A concert was presented in the Dunedin Gardens yesterday afternoon, which more than 4000 persons attended and at which the Boys’ Band received an excellent hearing. As a result of the recital, the sum of £6O was raised.
