ST. GEORGE'S DAY GREETINGS
AUCKLAND, April 27. The Governor-General (Sir Cyril Newall), has received the following telegram from the King in reply to a message sent to his Majesty on St. George’s Day:— “I thank you sincerely for your message on St. George’s Day and shall be glad if you will convey to the Government and people of New Zealand my cordial thanks for the generous sentiments which you have expressed on their behalf. I know that the efforts of New Zealand will not be relaxed until victory has been achieved. — George R. 1”
