FRENCH SHIPS STOPPED.— Since January 1, 18 French ships have been intercepted by the British blockade control. The Minister of Economic War-

fare (Dr Hugh Dalton) stated in the House of Commons that of these 11 had been brought into Gibraltar and the remainder were taken to other ports. Four were outward-bound from Unoccupied France, one from Occupied France, and the rest were inward bound. (Rugby.)
