DAMAGE BY CYCLONE.—Few buildings escaped damage when a cyclone struck Marble Bar. A number of buildings were razed and many partly unroofed. It is estimated that 16 inches of rain fell in 28 hours. The cyclone followed Marble Bar’s record run of 135 consecutive days with temperatures of 100 degrees or more. (Perth.)
