OBITUARY

M. CESAR CAMPINCHI (Received February 24, 9 p.m.) VICHY, February 23. Tire death has occurred of M. Cesar Campinchi, the French barrister and politician. He was Minister of Marine in the Chantemps Cabinet in 1937. He was Minister of the Navy for many years and held that post up to the time of France’s withdrawal from the war M. Campinchi played a big part in building up the French Navy to a strong fighting force. He was a Radical Socialist Deputy. JIM BARRON (Received February 24, 6.30 p.m.) SYDNEY, February 24. The death has occurred of Jim Barron, one of Australia’s greatest boxers of the nineties. He was 79 years of age.
