(United Press Association) HOKITIKA, February 23. The first day of the Westland Racing Club’s meeting was held in perfect weather. The course was in excellent condition and the attendance good. The totalizator handled £5197/10/-, against £4104/10/- for the first day last year. Results: NOVICE STAKES, £7O. Six furlongs—--1 MASTER FLASH 8.5 1, 5 WINCHELSEA 8.12 2, 6 BRIGHT LAD 8.5 3.
