AIR JULIUS KNIGHT (Received February 23, 9 p.m.) LONDON. February 22. The death has occurred of Mr Julius Knight, the famous actor. MR PERCY H. DAVIS (Received February 23, 9.30 p.m.) MONTREAL, February 22. The death has occurred of Mr Percy H. Davis, of Sydney, formerly a prominent sportsman. MR A. HAMMOND (United Press Association' AUCKLAND, February 22. The death has occurred of Mr Alfred Hammond, formerly chief detective. He joined the Police Force in 1895 at Wellington. Mr Hammond accompanied the late King George V and Queen Mary when they toured the Dominion as Duke and Duchess of York. He was transferred to the detective office at Auckland in 1912, remaining here for 20 years before retiring with the rank of chief detective.
